## Why outbound has not worked yet

Most teams lack the infrastructure, market coverage, and reply handling required to run cold email consistently.

1. **No outbound infrastructure.** Without separate domains, verified lists, and deliverability monitoring, campaigns cannot scale safely.
2. **Most prospects never hear from you.** Referrals reach people who already know you. They leave most of the addressable market untouched.
3. **Good replies go cold.** Slow follow-up loses interested prospects, objections, and no-shows before they can become meetings.

## Work directly with the people running your campaigns

Slate charges for qualified sales calls, not sends or contact volume. There is no account-management layer between you and the work.

- **33 leads**: referral leads generated for Benson Law in five weeks. Every one was recorded in the firm's CRM.
- **68 leads**: commercial leads generated for JR Land & Haul in seven weeks. Property managers, contractors, facilities buyers.

Figures from campaign data, Smartlead and Supabase, August 2026.

## How it works: four stages from prospect list to booked call

The numbers below come from the Benson Law campaign in spring 2026.

1. **List Engine:** 144,806 sourced. We built the list for the campaign from the agreed ICP, combined several data sources, and scored every prospect 1 to 10 for fit. Scores below 7 were discarded.
2. **Verification Gate:** 22,651 verified. Every address was verified before sending. Catch-all domains were excluded. Clients, open deals, and DNC lists were suppressed fail-closed.
3. **Send Fleet:** 18,056 in sequence. A rotating set of warmed domains and inboxes sent at conservative limits and was monitored daily. Benson Law's corporate domain did not send cold email.
4. **Reply Handoff:** 33 referral leads. Every reply was read, classified, and answered inside the hour, with follow-up until the meeting was booked.

## What happens after the first call

1. **Strategy call** (before you commit). In 30 minutes, we define your market, estimate campaign size, and review whether the cost per call works for your business. You get the analysis either way.
2. **Campaign setup** (weeks 1 to 3). We buy the domains, warm the inboxes, build and verify the lists, and write the copy. You approve everything before launch.
3. **Campaigns launch** (week 4 onward). We run the sending, answer replies inside the hour, and book qualified sales calls on your calendar with an account brief.

## What Slate handles

You provide the offer and take the sales calls. We handle the work required to create them.

- **Dedicated sending fleet.** Domains bought and warmed for three weeks, inboxes throttled at nine sends a day. Your corporate domain never sends a cold email.
- **Lists built and verified.** Sourced per campaign from your ICP, scored 1 to 10 for fit, and every address verified before it can enter a campaign.
- **Copy, written and approved.** Campaign copy drafted for your offer and signed off by you before anything sends.
- **Reply management.** Every reply is read, classified, and answered inside the hour. Positive replies get a call proposed immediately.
- **Sales calls with briefs.** Qualified sales calls land on your calendar with an account brief attached.
- **Campaign reporting.** A live portal shows every send, reply, and meeting. You see the same campaign data we do.
- **Assets stay yours.** Domains, verified lists, copy, and campaign history transfer to you if you ever leave.

## Packages

Cold email is billed per qualified sales call. We add other channels only when they improve the campaign economics.

- **Cold email outbound (core).** Cold email managed end to end, with a human handling every reply and billing per qualified sales call.
- **Warm SDR follow-ups (add-on).** Speed-to-lead follow-up on every positive reply, no-show recovery and rebooking, long-cycle nurture on soft yeses.
- **LinkedIn DMs (add-on).** The same targeting and copy discipline, run through LinkedIn alongside email so prospects see a single conversation across both channels. Replies handled by the same human desk.
- **Orchestrated (enterprise, by application).** We coordinate email, LinkedIn, calling, website signals, and follow-up in one campaign plan, with every activity visible in the client portal.

## Proof

- **Benson Law**: 33 referral leads generated between April 30 and June 5, 2026, 29 of them in May alone, from a funnel of 144,806 sourced prospects. Each lead was recorded in the client CRM. Full case study: https://slategtm.com/benson-law-case-study
- **JR Land & Haul** (junk removal and demolition, northwest Chicago suburbs): 68 commercial leads in the first seven weeks.

## Client testimonials

- Matt Benson, founder of Benson Law APC: "It's been the smoothest business experience I've had with any vendor that I've worked with." Full interview: https://slategtm.wistia.com/medias/m0cl7all6b
- Ryan Montoya, founder of Ovrhaul: "Oleg and his team really expanded our horizons on what we thought was possible with cold email. Strategy wise, he was able to find us prospects that most other agencies miss."
- Angela Moonan, founder of The Exceptional Way: "Oleg built and launched a prospecting system that's already opened doors to serious, right-fit opportunities. More importantly, he's shown me a scalable way to leverage my strengths in service of companies that truly need what I do."

## The team running your campaigns

Oleg Pevzner built Slate's outbound operating system and still works directly on client campaigns with the engineering team. Before Slate, he worked in investment banking at Evercore, joined TrueNorth as its 18th employee and became a senior product manager, then co-founded a software company that grew past 100,000 users. Today Slate manages 270+ sending domains across client campaigns, with 3,935 changes shipped to the outbound system in the last six months.

## FAQ

**What counts as a qualified sales call?**
A qualified sales call is a completed meeting with a decision-maker at a company matching the ICP we agree in writing, with your offer as the agenda. The definition and price per call are set in the contract before launch, so both sides know exactly what counts.

**How is Slate different from a typical outbound agency?**
Slate charges for qualified sales calls, not sends or contact volume. You also work directly with the people who build and run your campaigns instead of handing the account to a separate account manager.

**Will this put my domain at risk?**
No. Your corporate domain never sends cold email. We use a separate set of warmed domains and inboxes, with conservative sending limits and daily monitoring.

**What happens to everything if I leave?**
You keep the assets. If you leave, we transfer the domains, verified lists, copy, and campaign history to you.
